Obituary for Richard J. Kajack

Richard John Kajack, 86, resident of Chatham the past 46 years, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at Lodi Community Hospital.
Richard was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 24, 1932 to John and Helen (Hoerts) Kajack.
He attended West Tech High School and later worked for Westinghouse Electric before entering the U.S. Navy in 1953. He served aboard the USS Kirkpatrick during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955.
He worked as a welder and metal fabricator for Marlin Manufacturing in Cleveland and later was employed by NASA for 13 years before retiring in 1994.
Richard enjoyed bowling and once appeared on Bowling for Dollars. In his earlier years be built and raced stock cars. He was also a loyal Cleveland sports fan.
He is survived by his wife Joan, to whom he married on Sept. 7, 1957; also surviving are his
Children, Teresa, and husband Dale
Elizabeth, and husband Fritz
Katherine, and husband Michael
14 Grandchildren
11 Great-Grandchildren
Son-in-Law, Joseph
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Dorothy in 2017.
The family is planning to have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
