Obituary for Lynne C. Hall

Lynne Carole (Davis) Hall, 79 of Lodi, Ohio passed away peacefully during the evening of March 1, 2019 at her home, with her son, Kevin and granddaughter, Kari by her side. Lynne was born to Louis Rauh and Frances (Roswurm) Rauh on January, 27, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio. Lynne’s parents divorced shortly after she was born and Frances married Raymond L. Davis. Lynne was adopted by Ray at a very young age and considered him her father. She grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio where she graduated from Shaker Heights High School. In 1959, she married Edward S. Hunter. While Ed was in the military, she attended the Dyke & Spencerian College in Cleveland and then worked as a secretary. Lynne’s hope was to have horses and in 1966, Lynne & Ed bought a small property in Hinckley, Ohio and began raising horses. In 1968, Lynne & Ed bought a farm in Homerville, Ohio where they grew crops, bred and raised Arabian horses, beef cattle and many other animals. She was also a 4-H advisor for the Homer Powder Horns club for many years. Lynne remained on the farm after Lynne & Ed divorced in 1986. She then worked as a dispatcher for the Medina County Sheriff’s office and a corrections officer at Grafton Correctional Institution. In 1992, Lynne married her second husband, Donald “Chub” Hall. Lynne and Chub enjoyed farming, working with the animals and visiting with friends for many years. She is survived by her sons, Stewart (Lory) Hunter and Kevin Hunter. Brothers Daniel C. Davis, Robert (Bob) E. Davis, sister Kathy (Rauh) Shinsky, Grandchildren, Scott (Madi) Hunter, Stephen Hunter, Kari Hunter and great grandson, Jayce LeMaster.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi (330-948-1122). Reverend Mindy Kurka will officiate.
Following the service, those who wish, may join the family at a gathering at their home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lifecare Hospice of Wayne County, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
