Obituary for Glenn D. Meek

Glenn D. Meek, 87, of Lodi, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
Glenn was born on October 24, 1931 to Glyde and Edith (Pratt) Meek.
He grew up in Chatham, the youngest of 13 children, and graduated from Chatham School in 1949. He proudly served his country on the front lines as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War (1950-1953).

Glenn was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps Association, Korean War Veterans Association, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Chatham Alumni Association, and Chatham and Lodi Historical Societies.
He had a passion for Marine Corps history and local history. He was an avid Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan, always hoping this would be “The Year”. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his Children, Doug (Leah) Meek, Dennis Meek, Diane (Tracy) Dickinson and Grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Jamison, Bethany Meek, Owen Dickinson, and Kendall Meek.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene (on January 29, 2019), his parents, and siblings, Earl, Lester, Lee, Alice (Aldrich), Harriett (Yothers), Loyd, Harold, Willard, Lucille (Trunk), Claire, Edith (Pandur) and Doreen (Mapes).
