Obituary for Leon O. Cogar

Leon O. Cogar, 66, of Lodi passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his home.
He was born March 22, 1951 in Webster Springs, WV to Orval and Madline (Williams) Cogar.
His family moved to Ohio in 1965 and he had resided in Medina County most of his life.
Leon was most recently employed by the Village of Lodi.
He was a member of the Lodi American Legion and Harrisville Masonic Lodge #137 F & AM.
He is survived by his wife Carol, whom he married January 6, 2001.

3 Step-grandchildren, Ashley, Lillian and Andrew
5 Sisters Emma (Larry) Watson and Anna Plazo both of Stoney Point, NY
Cora (Bryon) Queen of Woodbridge, VA
Linda (Richard) Springston and Kathy (Owen) Shirley both of Lodi
3 Brothers Doy Cogar of Shreve
Ward (Cindy) Cogar of Wooster
Alonzo (Julie) Cogar of Poe
13 Nieces and 12 Nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eileen Ferral, and brother Clifford Cogar.
Funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, at 11:00 AM at Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi (330-948-1122).
Pastor Doug Davidson will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home where Masonic Services will be held at 7:45 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
