Obituary for John A. Henry

John A. Henry, 87 of Lodi, OH went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.
John was born in Adrian, Michigan on April 29, 1931 and was the only child of Rev. Amos and Ruby Henry. He was a 1949 graduate of Shaw School, and a 1954 graduate of Penn College.
He married Helen Brown on August 22, 1953, and together they raised 8 children;

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandkids.
John worked for several manufacturing companies throughout his career, but he was most pleased to have helped build a device for NASA which is now sitting on the moon.
He was a former member of Grace Brethren Church in Homerville where he was the organist for 26 years and was currently a member and organist of the Lodi First Congregational Church.
John was very much a home-body and loved to tell the many stories of his experiences throughout his life. He enjoyed playing piano and organ, as well as photography, CB’s and computers.
Visitation will be Friday, June 22, from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi (330-948-1122).
Funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Lodi First Congregational Church, 114 Church St., Lodi.
Pastor David Dake will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
