Obituary for James H. Lentz

James H. Lentz, 77 of Medina, Ohio passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 16, 1940 in Chippewa Lake to William and Icel (Marchington) Lentz.
Mr. Lentz was a retired mechanic for Medina Supply, where he had began working in 1978.
He was a member of the Volkswagen Club and had completely restored his original 1972 VW bus as a showpiece. He was also an avid drag racer, competing at Dragway 42 for almost 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Arter), to whom he was married to for 59 years;
Sons, Darrell (Mary Lou) Lentz of West Salem
Randel (Shelley) Lentz of San Diego, CA
Grandchildren, Amanda (Noah) Boyd, Samantha Lentz and Ryan (Anh) Lentz
Great-Grandchildren, Danika and Charlotte Boyd and Clare Lentz
Brother, John (Reba) Lentz of Ashland
Lifelong friend Jack Spencer of Wooster
He was preceded in death by his son Bradley Dean, sisters Agnes Ramsier and Ruth Snyder; and brother Kenneth Lentz.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi (330-948-1122) where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 21, at 2:00 PM.
Chaplain Don Bolich will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
