Obituary for Glen A. Pomeroy

Glenn A Pomeroy, 94 of Elyria, Ohio passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at Avon Hospital Cleveland Clinic.
He was born October 15, 1923 in Elyria, to Lloyd and Lola (Giar) Pomeroy. He graduated from John Marshall High School in Cleveland and enlisted in the USMC in 1942. After WW II Glenn moved to Spencer and then Elyria in 1975. He was a member of the Spencer First Baptist Church, Elyria UMC, former Spencer American Legion, and a lifetime member of the Elyria VFW.
During his career he was the Mayor of Spencer, Safety Service Director for the City of Elyria, a volunteer fireman for Spencer F.D. and worked for the Spencer Water and Sewer Department.
Glenn enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid OSU, Browns and Indians fan.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Hypes)
